Carter’s Rash Decision

We really appreciate you visiting our site! Keep up with us here by subscribing to our RSS feed. We hope to see you again soon!

Carter’s recently issued a statement regarding rash-prone baby/infant clothing from their Fall 2007 line of “tagless” garments.

Here’s one set of images (not of either of our children) found in an online forum, showing the type of rash possible:

Carter’s basically denies there’s any real (read: technical or legal) problem on their end, and in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, decided no recall is necessary. Huh?

They are, however, offering full refunds via phone and email if you happen to hear about this and contact them about it. We’ve read you have to send in the garments (via prepaid envelope) or submit pictures or both.

More on the whole thing, including contact information for Carter’s and my take on it all, here.  And yeah, we own some of these clothes… which is why you’re seeing us post about it here.
